SCOPE OF WORK
This project involved installing structural and reinforcing steel for the flyover bridges at the Highway 40 and I-170 interchange. The crew set the primary bridge girders and installed rebar for the bridge decks. The girders stood more than eight feet tall and followed the curved alignment of the flyovers. Setting them required careful coordination of each lift, placement, and connection to maintain the designed radius throughout erection.
As the decks came together, the reinforcing steel had to follow that same curve. Each installation affected the next, so the crew had to keep the sequence and alignment consistent from the first girders through the deck reinforcement.
