Lindbergh Tunnel - Lambert Airport

Lindbergh Tunnel - Lambert Airport in St. Louis, Missouri

SCOPE OF WORK

This project involved installing structural components for the highway tunnel beneath an active runway at Lambert Airport. The crew worked inside the tunnel while coordinating with the broader transportation construction around it.

Limited access and tight working areas left little room to move materials or position equipment. Before bringing anything into the tunnel, the team had to plan where it would go, how crews would reach it, and how equipment and materials would be moved out as work progressed.

The installation sequence had to account for those space constraints while maintaining crew access. Working beneath an active runway added another layer of coordination with the airport and the surrounding project.
