SCOPE OF WORK
This project involved installing more than a mile of stainless steel handrail and fencing along the St. Louis riverfront near the Gateway Arch. The crew installed the finishing steel in a highly visible public area directly beside the Mississippi River.
Repeated flooding changed how the work progressed. Rising water and flood-borne debris damaged sections that had already been installed, requiring the crew to repair or rework them alongside the remaining installation.
The team adjusted the construction sequence around river conditions, balancing new work with repairs and the risk of further flooding. Progress depended on when conditions allowed the crew to return and complete each section.
