SCOPE OF WORK
The Stan Musial Memorial Bridge project involved extensive reinforcing and structural work on one of the region’s major transportation crossings.
The crew installed rebar for the bridge piers and 405-foot towers, erected structural falsework, placed precast components, and completed post-tensioning for the road deck. The scope also included barrier wall reinforcement, tower crane erection, ladders and platforms inside the hollow tower legs, and lockup and dampener systems within the bridge structure.
The team identified where crews were waiting and time was being lost, then reorganized the installation sequence. At peak production, the crew could set as many as two cages in a single day.
The crew recovered the lost time and finished the project four weeks ahead of schedule.
